The Plains of Lamagon from the Monastery above Nyille (Nile) ~3,500m.

Our week in the Tsum Valley was spectacular, fascinating, and culturally wonderfully diverse! We were fortunate enough to have a couple of nights in Nile, allowing us to visit the monastery a few times.

I’d looked at this scene many times and photographed it quite a few different ways before settling on this 300mm telephoto composition.

This particular afternoon had the light I’d been waiting for.
