The main focus of our trip to Ladakh as to hike the Markha Valley with our friends from New Zealand a celebrate some birthdays. Here in the lower part of the valley the typical green fields irrigated by canals hundreds or even thousands of years old allowing villages to flourish in the otherwise stark landscape.
