Description
We spent a couple of beautiful evenings camped by this tarn deep in Tasmania’s Central Highlands. The 5 hour drive to the trail head was longer than the walk in.
It’s surprisingly close to the middle of Tasmania’s Overland Track and whilst we could see Kia Ora Hut from the summit of the mountain, this range was access from an entirely different area altogether. We spent the days exploring the Cathedral Mountain massif, and the evenings with the mosquitos watching the sun go down over this beautiful tarn, which was as a mill-pond every night.
